A brief comparison of Apple’s M1 SoC variants

Apple’s M1 System-on-Chip (SoC) has dramatically changed the utmost processing power yet efficiency that a notebook can provide. Recently, Apple has announced two variants of the M1 SoC, namely M1 Pro, and M1 Max. Marquez Brownlee (a.k.a. MKBHD), a well-known tech YouTuber with having 14.9 million subscribers, has declared the M1 Max MacBook Pro as “Truly Next Level”. These new SoCs ship with the new 14" and 16" MacBook Pros. So, the question of “what are the differences between these models?” has naturally come to mind. So, I decided to write this brief post to shed light on this question. You can find a brief comparison of the M1, M1 Pro, and M1 Max SoCs below, which hopefully helps you to see the differences at a single glance:
