6 Tips for Moving Up In Your Career

Following are the six tips for moving up in your career:

1. Put your time in: Everyone starts out doing grunt work till trust is proven

2. Don’t talk badly about the company or about your boss

3. Take control of your relationship with your boss and team members

4. Find a mentor and manage the relationship strategically

5. Join a professional body and build your network

I have contacted with one of my senior which in working in PIEAS. He appreciated and thanked me for sharing.He specially liked the tip of never talking badly about your company or boss. He said that this is the most important thing.He further added this not only saves your time but it also reduces negative energy in yourself. When you concentrate on positive things and start ignoring negative things, you will save a lot of your energy and do something productive.

One thing he mentioned that you don’t need to make personal relations with your boss. He said that if you will just do your work honestly and carefully, your boss will respect you. But, if you invite him on treats and don’t do your work on time, it will create a negative image of you. So , he said that first you should do your own work and then if needed you can invite him on treat and parties and can get closer to him.
