Face Fear Of Failure!!
Edhi Foundation “Live & Help Live”. What difference you have made in this world if you could never make yourself useful to others? Have we ever tried to make Earth a better place than it is today? Any efforts? Surely there are a lot of questions that emerge in our minds, but these very same questions were answered by none other than ABDUL SATTAR EDHI a long time ago. He didn’t worked for himself, he worked only for the poor people of Pakistan that was a kind of person he was.

Well the project assigned to the group was going the extra mile while facing your fears of failure in collection the funds for Edhi Foundation. There were a lot of ideas from where to start where to end & what to do & how to do. Brainstorming of ideas made a very clear picture in our minds that we needed to do to achieve our objective. We had fears in our minds that we might fail or someone may embarrass us and all.
Charity begins at home. Thats a very famous yet very influential quote, so we begin to challenge ourselves by collecting funds from our families, relatives & neighbours. The response was very encouraging as they felt like the youngsters are on right track while also believing in our team that their charities will duly reach Edhi Foundation.
We took this confidence to Fortress Stadium Lahore & begin collecting funds. People were really generous while some were really rude. I remember one person denying us with such rude looks that for once the morale of team came fully down. But thats what we were there for to face failure & challenges. The next one we asked said “Bhai maaf karo”, like seriously? For 2 hours in severe summer we worked for this great cause & collected around Rs.2000–2200. It was really motivating.

Things didn’t stopped there as we were detained by Army Security personnels for doing this work. They said that it isn’t allowed here to do any kind of charity. We tried to clear our position that we were doing nothing wrong, its just a formal fund raiser for the foundation. We met their security head & showed him the official authority letter that we are the obliged persons to carry out this activity & assured him no harm was being done. He was highly impressed with the efforts of our team & even applauded us.
This activity made us learn a lot of new things out there in the field. We faced rejection, rudeness, failure & demotivation. But its the extra mile concept that kept us pushing harder, even when your whole team level is down suddenly a member says “Come on guys, lets try again & remember the extra mile”. These words put a smile on our faces & we were injected with this new energy that made us to go beyond our limits.
