What I just read from you is perhaps the most concise and informative treatise on effective writing I’ve seen in a long time.
All of the major points to consider and even adhere to are covered without kruft or tl’dr, and that is itself an accomplishment.
Except for the part about semi-colons. I like them, and Google is only reporting on metrics that it collects. Maybe we should be using them more, instead of comma trains ;)
And as you can see, they’re really useful for making winkies with emoticons, which is something that we might want to mention as a, “Don’t do this.”
Really, I’ve been inspired. There are a couple of items I have in draft mode and I intended to publish one of them here today but while your style guide has bolstered my enthusiasm, it has also compelled me to bring back to you a better article.
