Men do not face violence from women if they reject a woman’s advances. But men face violence *from themselves* when their advances are rejected — and I must be quick to add, the existence of this violence should not be a reason for women to change their behavior to protect men from themselves. By that logic, all women should be on birth control in order to prevent the “violence” of menstruation, which is wrong. Women deserve the emotional and social tools to accept their occasionally bloody bodies. Men deserve the emotional *permission* to accept their bloody minds. Alexainie attempts to deny us this permission by denying that men face *any* consequences from rejection.
