I was thinking about this convergence a few days ago, and I think it makes a lot of sense. VR on top of messenger will go mainstream after chatbots, so it’s only natural that the chatbots will get a VR persona just like everyone else we’re communicating with over the platform.
The point about the brands is super interesting and has huge implications on branding and marketing. The bot persona of the brand will become the brand itself, probably replacing the old logos and presentors. A world where you can communicate with any brand over VR, 24/7 and for as long as you want - what brand wouldn’t want to be a character?
