Vote our #SXSW PanelPicker — GAFAM Vs BATX: The New Cold War Is Technological
#SXSW is one of the most important events in the digital-artistic-educational sphere, an event where geeks like us feel like being at home. It has been always our intention to go, but it was difficult to find the right moment. However, next year we might have the perfect excuse to not miss it: hosting our own session!!!
To do so, we need your help. Community vote represents 30% of the final decision, that is why we encourage you to vote our panel and help us to get closer to Austin 2018.
Why GAFAM vs. BATX?
After almost 10 years working on Internet companies in Europe we took a sabbatical year to travel around Asia and interview start-ups and innovative people with 2geeks1city.com. As Europeans, we are used to US digital platforms: we search on Google, buy on Amazon, talk in Facebook, etc… Our communicational skills and networking protocols fit those platforms.
However, the day we step on China, we discovered that there was life beyond GAFAM (Google, Apple, Facebook, Amazon & Microsoft). China is creating a whole ecosystem under their own rules.
Every day we can read news about the new innovation or the new business any of these companies, either the US or the Chinese ones, are trying. Financial services, autonomous cars, health industry… All of them competing to rule all the industries, all of them with huge potential to rule the digital (and not digital) World
Chinese BATX ecosystem is the only one which can rivals the GAFAM established one. When the market attention is at game we should ask: are we on the verge of Technological Cold War?
