Climbing The Wrong Mountain
When I was a teenager, I always wanted to become a millionaire by the time I was 30. Then when I turned 30, I adjusted it to 40. When I turned 40, I realized I was focusing on the wrong thing. Success isn’t measured by how much money you have, it’s the number of lives you impact. If you question how many lives you impact, think of your family. Now think of your friends and co-workers. Now think of that person you smiled at walking down the street or the one you held a door open for as they entered the same business as you. Your impact is felt everyday through the simple actions you take. In order to make an impact for others, you must start with yourself. Making an impact on my life meant starting a new journey and choosing myself instead of waiting to be chosen. You should focus on what matters to you. And remember, I spent 40 years thinking money would take me to the top of the mountain. What’s your purpose? Are you focused on it?
