Why Agenda and Recap is so important?

On that day i was driving my bike after completed my lunch. I was thinking over my next workshop on MEAN stack and was thinking about my preparation for it. Want to make this 3 day workshop gorgeous for the audience, so giving a thought about preparing a detailed agenda for session.

Then suddenly a question popped up in my mind.

Question: Why agenda is so important for a presentation???

Inner voice reply: Because through the agenda audience will get a rough idea about the session and they can prepare themselves for the next one/two/three hours. Without agenda they will left clueless like sheep got lost from its group.

Next subsequent question: Why only for presentation?? Why not for life??

Thoughts over it:

“An agenda(plan) and recap which we require for 1/2/3 hour presentation is not at all required for a day?? for a month?? for a year?? for a lifetime?? We are not even interested in attending a presentation which doesn’t feature agenda and recap. If agenda is that important, then why we are not even trying to build an agenda for day, month, year and lifetime??”

A Saying:-

I unable to stop myself from thinking this quote about goal(agenda) setting.

“You cannot hit a goal if you don’t where the goals posts are!”

And a conclusion:-

Most many of us among us are wanna hit the goal badly but we are not ready to afford the time required to know about the location of our goal posts. We starting our day without even knowing about daily goals and start to kick the ball from morning till night by believing that some how we will hit the goal.

Is that seriously possible?? I don’t think so! I felt pretty much ashamed myself when i think deep about this insight! I’m not a guru, but i don’t want people around me repeat the same mistake which i committed till today(I’m 26 now)!

Please don’t waste your days, weeks, months and years to come without knowing your goal posts. Spend time in getting to know about your goal posts, you days will to be the same any more.

Smile always and live life!
