Travel Solo: The Best Thing You Can Do for Yourself

Hi Lisa! It’s very funny how two people can have totally different experiences with the same thing. I travelled by myself for the first time when I was 21 years old. It was my first time abroad, I was going to live for 5 weeks in Spain to study Spanish and still I was going to visit 4 different cities in 4 different countries. After that I traveled by myself again to the other side of the world. I live in Brazil and I went visiting my friend who lives in Taiwan, with an additional 5 day stop in Amsterdam.

The first time I went traveling with a group was last year, when my mom, my brother, my grandma and I were Aurora hunting in Norway. It was a totally different experience!

I never felt the fear you were talking about in your writing. But still, I think is very useful reading about solo traveling because is something that I’ve already experienced, so I too can talk about with knowledge of cause.

Thanks for sharing your wonderful experience and for encouraging people to do the same. We are on the same team!

Maybe next time we can travel alone together :)

With wanderlust in the veins,

Tamires
