Seven Obsessions
7 Things I am currently obsessed with…and you might be too after you read this!
Thornton’s Office Supplies Disposable Fountain Pens
These are my new favorite pens! I love brown ink and these are smooth and fun to write with every day.
I use her prompts every morning for my freewrites. It has made a huge difference in my writing life.
StoryFest is today where writers are celebrating the short story and those written during the May challenge. Check it out!
Running is good for me. I am working back up to my 10 miles a day and have made it to 8 miles on 2 days this week. I have a love/hate relationship with running lately. I love how my body responds and how I feel but I don't always enjoy the act or the time required.
This book is about a girl getting her MFA. I just started reading but the writing is wonderful and I feel it is just what I need to be reading right NOW.
Writing rejections have affected me greatly this week and my thoughts have been obsessing around the topic. I am reconsidering what it means to be a successful writer and what I should be doing with my work. I went back and reread the rejection with feedback and am looking at it with the thinking brain now and not the feeling brain.
I have started over a lot in my life and many times by my own choice. I am starting again with this new position at my day job. I had good experiences this week with one new staff and am being cautiously optimistic. It is an idea I will be obsessed with until at least September.
