Join me for a conversation and a cup of coffee

Today lets have our coffee in the 3 seasons room. It is raining but I would still like for us to be outside. The weather here has been fairly pleasant. Some days have been humid but tolerable. The weather report says it is supposed to get warmer again but I have found it is not always accurate.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you I started a new school year on Monday. The schedule was a bit crazy. I made my way between 5 buildings over the course of the week. The to do list looked a lot different this week than it has the past 2 months! I am assigned to two schools so the driving should be less this coming week. I had to get my books and personal items out of the school I was assigned to last year. I was happy to make it into classrooms already.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you we had such a fun time with the kids Wednesday evening. We laughed so much. It was normal activity — just dinner at a favorite restaurant and ice cream later. We went to the park and played Wii bowling. The evening went fast that is for sure.

If we were having coffee I would tell you I wrote every morning and even one later night session. The schedule was so much different this week it was a bit jarring. I am going to have to find a new system. Storyaday September is coming soon which is exciting. I have revision on the schedule for October. Nanowrimo is scheduled for November. There will be lots of writing from now til the end of the year.

If we were having coffee I would tell you I read a story to a third grade class and then I did a mini writing activity with them. It was amazing! I cannot stop thinking about this class of little people.

If we were having coffee I would tell you I messed up my intermittent fasting schedule this week. I ate a lot earlier than I have for months. Some were lunch dates with friends this week to catch up from the summer. I didn’t feel too bad but will be glad to get back on track. One difference I noticed is because I am not starting at the same location every day I do not have the luxury of my coffee. I stopped a couple of days at DD and took coffee from home, but I did not have the ability to refill. I have to make friends with the teachers who have coffee pots in their rooms!

If we were having coffee, I would tell you the meetings I had this past week were valuable and not a waste of time which was encouraging. I was able to learn some more about some of the people I work with which is helpful. There are several meetings scheduled for this week so hopefully the pattern will continue.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you I ran yesterday for the first time in a week. I had to force myself but once I was going I felt good. I had some rain to contend with at the end. I wound up running 6 miles which was good. Depending on the weather, I may run later today.

If we were having coffee, I would tell you I had less interaction with my writing groups this week. I did my Artist Way morning pages every day and wrote about it a little in the SLACK group. I checked in with my Storyaday writers but everyone seemed busy this week! I always look forward to the challenge months because we check in every day. There is comfort in your support group showing up in your notifications on your phone!

I cannot wait to hear about your week!
