When You Figure Out You Have Been In A Plan…

I grew up believing I was named after a movie named Tammy Tell Me True. It was a big hit movie back in 1960’s. It was during the Elvis Presley era. I watched that movie once, maybe twice in my life. I didn’t actually see a connection of why I was named after it… but it made sense to name me Tammy to my parents.

When I was younger and as well as I can remember I had a great beginning in life. My parents were together and I have some pictures of family gatherings during holidays and birthdays and a couple of pictures of death in the family. Which would be the death of my Daddy.

My Daddy died when I was fourteen years old. I had to learn to grow up in a hurry after that. I also learned to take on other people’s guilt during the process of growing up in a hurry. Those are big tasks to take on when you are just a teenager. I didn’t actually have time to grieve the loss of my Daddy that long which left a little of resentment in my heart.

After years had past of losing my Daddy. I had lost my Grandma too. Her house was definitely a safe place I could stay when things at my mom’s house got a little too heated. The things I hear on the news today. Makes me that much more thankful God definitely had His hedge of protection around me or I would have bounced from foster home to foster home. Yes, at times it was that bad.

I have looked back and think to myself there is no way I can be where I am today if I wasn’t part of God’s Plan. I have heard some say they too were part of God’s Plan and by the way they were living kinda made me question them. I said question them… not judge them! When you realize you were part of God’s Plan all along… you just tend to be grateful for life and your surroundings. Because you realize you couldn’t be where you are on your own.

I have heard and I have been told what you have done or been through doesn’t define you. I want to believe that to a certain point. I have encountered and survived life differently than anyone else. There are different encounters that anyone can survive and each and everyone of us have a story. When “rejection” comes with your story it can either make you weak or strong and I believe if you know you were part of a plan far greater than you ever imagined… there can be no other explanation other than you were part of God’s Plan!

When the Bible says, “We walk by faith, not by sight” (2 Corinthians 5:7), it does not mean that there never were any visible evidences. Nor does it mean that there are no visible evidences today. Because where I have came from and how God has placed me with a true and faithful husband and two boys that we have faithfully gone to church to grow more and more like Christlikeness there is no other plan I desire most to be a part of.

Because I have heard some stories and I actually have been a part of their stories but the gratefulness they tended to share to God and those around them. Almost sounded like they were building a kingdom that wasn’t exactly like God intended. I have been told numerous times I can only be myself and I cannot change what others think of me but I am glad God sent His one and only Son and He thought I was to die for. That covers a multitude of sins that He claims for me. Knowing I was part of a plan all along makes me love my family and friends that much more!❤️
