10 Happiness Boosters

1. Get outside for a while and get some sunlight.

2. Get some exercise. If you go for a walk or a bike ride, then you’re combining #1 with #2 and giving yourself a double-whammy of happiness.

3. Eat rice. (It has something in it that soothes the nervous system.)

4. Drink green tea. (Another thing that has a calming effect on most people, despite the small amount of caffeine in it.)

5. Google search images of babies. Or puppies. Or kittens.

6. Make a list of 20 things you’re thankful for.

7. Realize that you probably live better than most kings and queens did a couple of centuries ago.

8. Do some yoga. It’s amazing!

9. Laugh for at least 30 seconds. You don’t even need anything to laugh about. Just start laughing, and the sillyness will follow.

10. Smile and hug yourself, and tell yourself, “I love you.”

11. (BONUS) If you can safely do it, then make a bonfire and sit around it. Invite some friends if you want. Bonfires clear negative feelings like crazy. I have no idea why.
