not the normal Irish corned beef, but the crumbly stuff imported from South America with the weird metal key thing to open it… I’m thinking that since we were quite poor, my mother said “$.50 for a can? We’ll try this stuff” an a legend was born

Ah…canned corned beef. I buy the corned beef that comes in a vacuum-sealed packet and I cook it in water for an hour or so to make a beef stock and sandwich meat. The stuff in a can is…like Spam, only beef.
