I am blessed to have never suffered chronic pain, but I’ve watched loved ones struggle with it and, from this outsider’s view, you’ve captured it in all its perfect ugliness. I think, for those with chronic pain, every day is an achievement; it’s one of the reasons I hate the way some athletes in my sport seem to glorify pain. Yes, I’m sure it’s easy to glorify when it’s self inflicted and you can stop it whenever you choose.
