About the game
This game is a soul-borne series developed by the FromSoftware studio. And the game was set in the late 1500s Sengoku Japan. You will role as the ninja name Sekiro, also known as Wolf, or Ookami, that wants to protect the young lord who is the descendant of an ancient bloodline. When the young lord is captured, you have to fight to find the way to rescue him!!
Gameplay
In this game, you can use ninja abilities and use katana as the main weapon and you also have Prosthetic Tools that you can choose in any situation. So you have to adapt to the enemy that you face. You can also jump, parry, dash, and swim in this game. This game also has a unique ability that you can use is to resurrect due to being imparted the Dragon’s Heritage. And when you died you will lose half of your XP and the money that you use to learn a new skill or buy the goods in this game.
Ending roots
This game has 4 ending the way it changes with your choices. You have to use about 25–30 hours to clear the one root. And if you want to unlock all endings you have to play at least 4 times. Each root has a different boss and a different story that you will face. Then when you play the new game you will get a new experience from the new boss that will not make you bored the game for sure.
Boss Fight
The boss in this game is not too hard but it is quite challenging. You have to calm down and see the pattern of the boss. You can not only attack the boss you have to parry and dodge the attack then counter it. And some bosses have a trick or weakness if you can find it you will defeat the boss easier. For example, some boss lost to fire so you have to change your Prosthetic Arm to Flame Vent then the boss will be easy for you now. But if this game is the first game of the Soul-Sorne game you have to be patient and learn how to play by learning the mistake that you did when you died and try to not do it again.
Graphics
The graphics in this game is so amazing it very smooth and it can show the identity of Japan in the Sengoku period well. It has many beautiful landscapes that you can enjoy when exploring areas around. Such as the castle or the temple in this game. And it can optimize well on the PC. But unfortunately, it can run at 60 FPS only. And this game can classify as the AAA game for me.
Sekiro vs other soul-borne game
In this game, you can have a second chance when you died. You can resurrect yourself once because of the Dragon’s Heritage. And in this game, you can jump, swim, and use the Grapple Hook that will improve the movement of the main character you can go anyplace with that ability. And you also have a Prosthetic Arm that is very exotic and elastic because you can do many things with it such as Shinobi Firecracker to stun the enemy to make the gap to attack thems. Compare with the other soul-borne game this game is the easiest one for me. You don’t need to change the main weapon because you have only a katana and have to be master with it.
Price
The price of this game is a bit expensive(59.99$) but I think it is worth buying it because of the fantastic graphic, fresh and exciting gameplay, and you can play it at least 4 times to clear all roots of this game. And this game gets a Game Of The Year 2019 award that can guarantee the quality of this game.
Conclusion
This game is one of the good games for the people who want to challenge themself or the people that want to try somethings that are different from the Soul-Sorne game style. And everything in this game can design well, the fresh fighting stye, map, or the story. These reasons make this game is worth the price 59.99$ because the quality that the game gives us is more than that price. I highly recommend this game to everyone that wants to challenge themselves.
