Bi Rite
Upon arriving, one of our first stops was Bi Rite as usual. With raw milk, fine chocolates, absolutely beautiful flowers, and the best and most unique local produce you can find anywhere it never fails to delight. The staff is extremely freindly to boot and give samples of anything and will passionately explain any item in the store in detail, so you can always learn something new. On a later stop as we were heading down to Pescadero, we were looking to make grilled cheeses and received wonderful suggestions ☺We also picked up some sourdough and Blue Chair plum meyer lemon and lavender jam, raw milk, fresh local eggs, and beautiful produce {frog hollow farm pluots that were to die for, early girl dry farmed tomatoes that were bursting with flavor, fresh figs, pink pearl apples, and berries, of course, that were unlike anything you could get from Driscoll’s).
I loved this old man with the hat walking into the store. Inside the space is charmingly tight and crowded, but it reminds me of Europe, and the clientele, like the man pictured, are so interesting, you don’t really mind.
