How to download and update TanglePay V1.4.5 Chrome Extension from Github
If Tanglepay is installed on your mobile phone, please upgrade the mobile version of Tanglepay to V1.4.5 before using.
If your TanglePay Chrome web extension version is not yet V1.4.5. When you have Shimmer Layer 1 tokens in your account, please do not perform SMR transaction (including the use of SMR on third-party websites such as Iotabee). Otherwise, it might result that your Layer 1 can be lost and cannot be retrieved. Please transfer all the Layer 1 tokens out first, and then use the SMR assets in the wallet.
Chrome Web Extension Tanglepay V1.4.5 is currently under review in the Chrome store, and it will be updated automatically after the review, please be patient. You can also download Tanglepay V1.4.5 on Github for installation. Once you update your Tanglepay to V1.4.5, it is safe to use.

- Download the TanglepayV1.4.5 compressed package: TanglePay-Extension-V1.4.5.zip https://github.com/TanglePay/TanglePay-Extension/releases/tag/V1.4.5
- Extract the TanglePay-Extension-V1.4.5.zip to the TanglePay-Extension-V1.4.5 folder
- Visit chrome://extensions/ and enable developer mode in the upper right corner.
- Click load unpacked, select the TanglePay-Extension-V1.4.5 folder, and complete the addition.

- You can import the mnemonic of the original wallet into V1.4.5 for use; you can also create a new wallet and transfer the assets of the original wallet. ! ! ! Special attention, if you transfer SMR assets from a Tanglepay wallet with a version lower than V1.4.5 to the new wallet, be sure to confirm that there is no Shimmer Layer 1 token in the original wallet. If so, please transfer the Layer 1 token first, and then transfer the SMR asset. Otherwise, your Layer 1 token may be lost and cannot be retrieved.
- If you have more than 2 Tanglepay wallets in your chrome plugin, please open Tanglepay V1.4.5 when using a third-party website (such as Iotabee), and close the status of other Tanglepay wallets for now. Please check the picture below “Wallet turn on and off”.
- Do not delete the Tanglepay plugin below V1.4.5. After waiting for the approval of the web store, it will be automatically upgraded to the latest version.
- IOTA wallet and EVM wallet are not affected for this problem.
