Tangle Treasury resumes reviewing activities
The Tangle Treasury has officially resumed its proposal and milestone review activities. Following a comprehensive restructuring of our team and backend systems, the new team has successfully completed all preparations, and grant management operations are now fully restored.
In the past four weeks since the official start of the new term, all documents, assets and accounts of the Tangle DAO LLC were successfully handed over to the new team. This term’s budget for both the IOTA and Shimmer treasury, consisting of IOTA and SMR tokens, was received. Furthermore the team drafted and published its Funding Strategy 24/25, which outlines which assets are available to the Tangle Treasury and what the focus of funding will be in the upcoming months. Lastly, a wide array of internal processes was updated and significantly improved, leading to more standardized and thorough proposal- and milestone-reviewing processes, heightened data- and account security as well as better compliance with international business standards. Lastly, all new team members were thoroughly trained in order to ensure highest quality grant management standards.
Clearing out the backlog and next steps
Due to its prolonged state of reduced activity the Tangle Treasury has accumulated a backlog of grant management tasks. Addressing these will be the team’s immediate priority, including finalizing milestone payouts from successful grants, reviewing new milestones submitted, and assessing waiting proposals.
Proposers and grantees who have submitted milestones and proposals over the past few months can expect to be contacted by the team soon. They will have the opportunity to present their work, receive feedback, and potentially secure community treasury funding.
Once the backlog is cleared, the Tangle Treasury will reopen for new proposals from the IOTA and Shimmer ecosystems. We will announce the official start of open proposal submissions, introduce an updated submission process, and provide guidelines for structuring new proposals after the immediate tasks are completed.
