Mob programming remotely works just fine when everyone has a reasonably fast computer, fast internet connection and is relatively familiar with the tools e.g. c9, Jitsy and/or Hangouts

Compared to face to face mob programming I think it’s actually much easier to hand over control. No one has to swap places etc. I guess if you’ve got an uber big monitor and a nice wireless keyboard then face to face is even better for swapping who’s driving, but using C9 we can have multiple people typing into the same file at the same time — all using their cursors to highlight different parts of the file. I really like it.
