Goa is most famous tour destination in India territory. Goa was part of the Portuguese country colony from 1510 to 1961. So, it has 450 years mix cultural history of the European and India. Goa has 65.7% Hindu and 27% Christian of the total population. So, Goa has mix cultural activities of the Hindu and Christian. Goa people celebrate lots of festival per years which includes Hindu and Christian religion related.

Gudi Padva: It is a New Year day according the Hindu calendar. It is a first day of the Chaitra month. Goa people celebrate this day with full of the enthusiasm. Generally this day come in March or April month every year.
Good Friday: It is a Christian religious related festival. Actually this is a death anniversary of the Jesus Christ. People celebrate this festival in Goa with full enjoy. People go to church and pray to God.

Ganesh Chaturthi: It is a Hindu religion related festival. This festival is dedicated to Lord Ganesha. This day also called as Vinayaka Chaturthi. This festival celebrates to 10 days. Generally this festival comes in August or September month.

Diwali: It is a main festival of the Hindu religion people. This day also called festival of the light. This festival comes in October or November month every year. People decorate their homes and wear new clothes also distribute sweets among relative and friends. They light Deepak and prayer to goddess Lakshmi and god Ganesh.

Christmas: It is a main festival of the Christian religious people. People decorate their home, distribute sweets and wear new clothes. People Go to church to player to Jesus Christ.
