Short answer…no they won’t make you gain weight, here’s why…

Diet drinks have no calories in them which mean they generally have no effect on weight gain because you need to consume more calories than what your body needs to gain weight.

However if you are drinking diet drinks non stop and drinking more of these than water then there’s a problem and it’s probably not very good for you, and can cause issues with digestion and skin/hair. Only because our bodies are 90% water and by drinking lots of water it helps our bodies to function properly by digesting food, helping our skin look and feel hydrated, keep us energised etc.

In some people diet drinks can cause bloating and water retention or other stomach issues because of the sweeteners used in the drinks. By drinking them in moderation i.e. 1 or 2 a day you shouldn’t have any problems or gain weight (unless you are eating more).

Diet drinks are great for cravings especially cherry pepsi max which also has 0g salt.

So in general no diet drinks won’t make you gain weight, eating too much will ;)
