Notes about flashing Tasmota firmware on SonOff device on Linux using VSCode with PlatformIO extension

Cloned Tasmota from: https://github.com/arendst/Sonoff-Tasmota

I have used an FTDI Friend from adafruit to flash via USB, so I set VCC to 3V by cutting the default setting jumper and soldering on the appropriate one:

To access the FTDI device on USB I needed to give these permissions to my user on Linux:

Changed my_user_config.h file:

I left out the MQTT configuration for later.

Changed platformio.ini to reflect correct name for the FTDI device on USB:
