Move QuickBooks installation to another computer
Reinstalling QuickBooks or moving your QuickBooks installation to another computer requires:
- License number
- Product number
- Installation CD or downloaded version.

What about Company file(s)?
While installing QuickBooks on your new Computer you would have to copy the company file to a new location on the new computer and make sure the path is correct. Otherwise the install version would not be able to detect the company file. Once the company file is copied to the new location, it would work normally as the previous one.
