Hi Dana, According to the UN, 1 in 3 women will be physically or sexually assaulted by a man in her lifetime. Men are also the gender most likely to harm other men. Statistically we can’t ignore that men are the ones who for the most part are doing the harming. Of course that doesn’t mean that there aren’t male victims of gaslighting, abuse or violence from women. But generally speaking women are raised to be more introspective as a result of criticisms whereas men are not. Men are raised in a culture of entitlement and that can lead to them gaslighting women and abusing them, sometimes murdering them. Even the fact that you self reflected on your own negative behaviour towards male partners kind of proves the point I was trying to make in the piece.
