A Delicious and Simple Homemade Miso Soup Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 cups water
- 1/4 cup miso paste
- 1/2 cup diced tofu
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 green onions, thinly sliced
- 1 sheet nori (seaweed), cut into thin strips
- Optional: cooked noodles, spinach, or other vegetables
Directions:
- In a medium saucepan, bring water to a simmer over medium heat.
- Place miso paste in a small bowl and add a ladleful of hot water. Stir until the miso paste is dissolved.
- Pour the dissolved miso paste back into the saucepan with the rest of the hot water and stir to combine.
- Add diced tofu, sliced mushrooms, and sliced green onions to the soup. Cook for 5–7 minutes, or until the tofu is heated through and the mushrooms are tender.
- Taste the soup and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- Ladle the miso soup into bowls and garnish with nori strips.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
