I have literally been going through this for about a year now and as an early dev it SUCKS. After reading this and not listening to my wife you are right do not get hopes up when you are found in a search algorithm, and even if you have a good interview they may not take you due to the fact the recruiter has some deal in with them they do no like. I found your post a few weeks back on another issue all I have to say is PREACH shoot I will listen. The more we know the better our carrers can be as devs I love to code but no one will give me the chance as a newb.
