Vice Media Goes Mobile

In the last year, Vice Media has grown exponentially and is making revolutionary steps in the television and digital content. What started out as a niche magazine in Canada, has evolved into an edgy news company that has made huge partnerships with Verizon and Snapchat. Vice has adapted the way it delivers its content, and has partnered with publishers to get to just the right target to keep growing. Verizon is starting their own mobile video platform called Go90 that Vice has already signed a deal with to create original content. When Snapchat added new specialized content for its new Stories section, Vice was one of the first content creators to take the leap and contribute to this growing platform. Because of the risks this company has taken, it has positioned itself in front of the coveted demographic — millenials. Growing this audience is an excellent way for Vice to “feed the pond” of its loyal viewers, something necessary for any media company to have a sustainable future.
