women in crime movies/series are often portrayed as “seductive”. In Ozark series Ruth and other women like wendy, helen ,charlotte and darlene do not play this kind of role. on the contrary, they appear to us as the doers of all the things that many people retreat from and are afraid of.

Ruth Langmore is the most prominent and unquestionably favorite character in the series.she is Strong leader, savvy businessman, strict, impulsive, independent woman who is not afraid of anyone and anything and always does more for the job than anyone else.

she isn’t afraid to do the dirty work while Wendy and Marty watch the show from the backstage as she does the dirty work on the spot, even if it involves a lots of risk.

Many viewers think that she is similar to Jesse from Breaking Bad, however, the difference is that Ruth is a character who has much more control over herself and others. The same can not be said about Jesse.

Although he was brought into the business by Marty and has a significant relationship with him, he is a much more equal and respectful partner to him than Jesse was for Walter White.

Walter emotionally abused and manipulated Jesse almost every step of the way, it Is something that can not be said about Ruth and martys relationship.
