Our Lady of Peace — this is the full name of La Paz which is a 3 most populous city in Bolivia. Sometimes called a “red city”, La Paz is located near Moon Valley.

La Paz was founded in the 16th century and it is an important tourism centre which offers many attractions including Moon Valley, numerous museums and squares. As the government and president headquarters are located there, the travellers sometimes incorrectly consider this city to be a capital (the constitutional capital of Bolivia is Sucre). One of the popular attractions in La Paz is a cable car “Teleferico” — there 3 different lines (red, yellow and green) and their length is approx. 6 miles (10 km).

When visiting La Paz, remember that the city is located 11975 ft. above the sea level (3650 m) so you feel a difference in breathing. The mean daily temperature varies throughout the year from 9 to 12 °C.

– San Francisco Church,

– Metropolitan Cathedral,
