Swimming is more than a recreational activity

Believe it or not, I learn how to swim when I was 24 years old and now it turns out that swimming is one of my favorite activity to do in weekend. I found by myself that there are a ton of benefits in swimming; which I will narrow down into two vital points; (1) relieve muscle strain and (2) alleviate stress
While you are swimming, your whole body is moving against water resistance, resulting in building muscle strength and relieving muscle strain. Before I start swimming regularly, I have to go for massage place every month as my back is in pain from sitting in front of the computer for all day long. Right now, my back is getting better and all the pain has been relieved because of swimming.
Secondly, swimming could alleviate my stress. When I am in the water, my mind goes blank. Basically, every stroke in the water, one stress issue is relieved. After finished swimming activity, my whole energy is recharged for upcoming challenges. Even though the existing problem that I have may not be solved by swimming, my mind is lift up form the problem temporary, enjoying a pleasant weekend.
As I described direct benefits in swimming that I experience them by myself, I would encourage everyone to swim regularly, stressing out either working stress or muscle strain.
