“Praying” Chihuahua Is Spared From Baldwin Park Animal Shelter

This little chihuahua spent only five days at the Baldwin animal shelter in SoCal before being spared an early death. John Hwang, 41, of La Puente, California, said he snapped the picture of Oliver, a 2-year-old chihuahua on Jan. 11 as part of his hobby telling the stories of shelter animals through photos. Everytime he moved away from her she would jump up on her hind legs and put her little paws together. I’m not a Christian by any means but I can’t help but feel good every time an animal is spared from the shelter. Oh yeah, please spay and neuter your pets so they don’t end up here in the first place. Adopt don’t shop!
