Remi,

Having been a part of the Twitter activity (or lack thereof) at COLTT 2015, I can certainly corroborate your dismay. I also attended your session, which although was an admitted deviation, still resonated and was delivered with professionalism.

A request to calibrate your voice on twitter to meet the tone of ANYONE is simply a gross misjudgment of the fundamental importance of academic freedom and progressive dialog. I respect your willingness to voice concerns but also fear the potential for professional quicksand. You’ve been an important colleague and mentor. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if I can help and/or support in any way.
