How to associate tokens on Hedera

To receive tokens to your Hedera account, you first need to approve this by “associating” the token to your account. This is a Hedera feature to prevent spam Airdrops being sent to your account.

The following steps are for myhbarwallet.com but you can use any HTS compatible wallet such as Flash, Xact or HashPack

1. On the left hand menu, under Tools click Associate:

2. enter the token ID (find this on the GoMint webapp) and click Associate

enter the token ID into myhbarwallet

3. That’s it! Once complete, your balance for that token will show as 0 (zero)

Confirm this at https://gomint.me/balance

You can now request tokens to be sent to your account.
