What inspired your passion for music?

I’ve always been moved by music from an early age. My mom played guitar and that was our family’s happy time or sometimes our escape from the chaos happening at home. That led to talent shows and musical theater in school as I loved the stage. But it wasn’t until years later in my 20's that I realized music was taking me much deeper. I was really moved by deep meaningful lyrics and emotion like the ones Sia writes and I wanted to make people feel the way I felt when I listened. It was powerful because I had a lot held up inside for a long time. Then I caught the bug to write and perform and realized this is why I’m here, to move people and share my stories.

What are your goals for 2019?

As I can see the end of the tunnel just around the corner, my goals are to get as many people to discover my music, as I know there’s a lot of people out there that have gone through the same thing or know someone going through it. Then I want to tour! I love the stage and it’s where I come alive.

How do you feel about connecting with your fans via social media?

I love the fact that you can feel so close to people all around the world and in different countries now. Although slow to catch the wave on other things, I’m warming up to social media as a whole. I’m a very positive person although you wouldn’t always guess that from my songs. I like to express certain things in my music where in my personal life I am a glass half full type of girl. I love to lift people up around me. I don’t want negativity or hate anywhere near it. I seem to attract the same type of people as well, which is great!

What’s your favorite quote?

“All of my big mistakes are when I try and second-guess or please an audience. My work is always stronger when I get very selfish about it” — David Bowie. This means a lot to me because all my life I’ve tried to please those around me and my music is the one place where I make what I want to make, otherwise it won’t do what I want it to do. And that is to move people.

How excited are you about the release of your new EP Angel?!

Hell yea , I’m living my dream! I fought to be here and things never did come easy for me. This very moment in time makes me realize I created all this. And I can fight to the end to create the rest of it. My Angel EP is the work and creative headspace of where I have been in the last few years and it shows a tighter more inspired sound this time around. I’m the most proud I have been about my music to date and I want to show the world :-)
