Hello, World

My name is Taylor and am entering my third trimester as a freshman in high school at a school that I don’t think could get much better.

Although, I am not your average high school student. I am an avid competitive swimmer and devote a good load of my time pushing myself past my limits so I can be in the best of shape all year. I train anywhere from 4–6 hours everyday including the weekends and compete monthly in a variety of competitions. I think it’s safe to say my life consists of swimming, school, and sleeping. I am constantly getting told I am crazy for training so much but I have no regrets and love every second of it.

In the limited time I get away from the pool I take every opportunity to spend it with my family where crazy doesn’t skip a generation. My mom has two sisters both whom are our next door neighbors, one family on the left and the other family on the right. It doesn’t get much better than this. When all three families come together there is a whole 15 of us and we don’t deny any chance we can to be together. We spend most of our time skiing, having family game nights, and going to support each other in our sporting competitions that never seem to end. I guess you could say we are just one big happy family.

I know they say you aren’t supposed to pick favorites in a family, but I have to admit I’m guilty of doing so. Without a doubt I would have to say that my year old puppy has won my heart over to giving him all my love. His name is Mikey and he is a miniature Australian labradoodle. He enjoys playing fetch, swimming in lakes, and taking long walks in the park in the morning. Sometimes I wish that I could have three of him because he is so cute that I need more of him to love. Is it bad to say that I love him more than my sister…

Currently I have no computer science background but am more than stoked to start what I think is the most interesting class Mullen has introduced to us. I think it will be a challenge, but I am ready to tackle it head on. I am excited to discover the endless possibilities that we can create on the computer and be able to share them with the class. It is the perfect opportunity for me to find maybe yet another hobby I can take on and possibly continue to study throughout my education. I’m excited for a great trimester in Intro to Computer Science!
