You seem to have a fundamental lack of understanding about how our brains function. Our brains are biological computers. The only difference between our brains and computers is that we are MASSIVELY parallel while being slower at individual computations (not to mention the whole cellular machinary). Machine computers will one day catch up and surpass us. That’s ok and it’s a good thing. Computers that think and have intelligence doesn’t take away your ability to think and have meaning. The advancement of technology and computing is merely the next step of human evolution. I highly recommend reading “The Singularity is Near”. Kurzweil gets into a lot of this stuff and it might help assuage your insecurity about the uniqueness and specialness of humans.
