How To Position Yourself in The Great Millennial Age

Look at the world around you. Just think about how much different it would be if it was still cool to use old telephones that you had to dial using your fingers and then have a cord that could reach to the other side of the house. Or a television that’s was so big in the back you thought something could be living in it. These are things that we thought were the greatest. Now you can talk to someone through your watch from across the world and have a TV so thin you can’t see it from the side. Now I’m not trying to say this is a bad thing, having better and more useful technology makes everyone’s life a lot better. I wouldn’t be able to be writing this right now if it wasn’t for technology.

“An Odesk study found that 89 percent of millennials would prefer to choose when and where they work rather than being in a 9-to-5 position, and 45 percent would rather be able to work from home than make more money.”

Millennials want to be different thanks to technology. This quote tells us that we don’t want that 9–5 job anymore that our parents and parent parents grew up on and longed for. We want to be able to work when we want to do something we love and be able to do it whenever we want. This age is going through a time where you can actually make money for traveling. That’s crazy! Or even by posting videos on YouTube that can just be following day to day tasks you might have (with a little humour involved).

The world is changing everyday. One day everyone is going to be walking around wearing VR Headsets and well communicate through our Headset to Headset (Make a note to look back at this in 20 years).

If you want to do something great during this lifetime just create something everyone likes. Since our generation loves being different in a world of little diversity do something totally different! Don’t be afraid to be the one odd ball. That’s what makes it so great.
