When thinking about the most overrated player in any sport, my mind remained a blank canvas. How would I know that answer? So, falling back on the Moms, I called. She actually didn’t have an answer right away. I only got like three or more links…. Just kidding… sort of? More so, do I get points for being honest?

Apparently after thinking it through, she came to a conclusion.

“I’ve got it. Stay on the Cubs train and write about Jason Heyward! He signed a contract worth $184 million dollars just last year, and its bullsh*t.”

Looking up her links, researching it for myself, and paraphrasing the moms, I summarize my oh so professional opinion. Jason Heyward was the one of the best free agents up for grabs during the off season. Unfortunately, he has been an utter disgrace this season, (term gathered from moms), especially considering his numbers and what he signed for in dollars. His stats are down in every category. I mean last year 23 stolen bases and this year only eight? He went from 293/.359/.439 to just .225/.296/.312 this season. Yet despite his continual disappointment, the Cubbies continue to win and wow America. Good for them, bad for Jason Heyward. And, yeah, yeah… I know… Thanks, Mom
