Find your passion and align it with your career:

Firstly, I took the online course and then prepared all the 6 guidelines which are very necessary for the beginners before entering into the any Industry as a professionals and these tips are following:

1. Find your passion and align it with your career.

2. Decisions are very unique to each person, what’s right for one isn’t right for the other.

3. Own your decisions: Don’t let other people make decisions for you and don’t blame anyone else.

4. Do an internship before pursuing a higher degree to confirm if you like that field/industry.

5. Don’t do PhD if you want to be an entrepreneur or work in corporate sector.

6. Spend at least one year in your first job.

I shared these guidelines with one of my Friend Mr. Zeeshan Hanif from City and Regional Planning Department. It was very informative experience for me. We had meeting of 2 hours in my room. After explaining all the tips he asked me a very question that how can I find my passion? I told him what are your future plans? He replied that i want to do work as a GIS specialist in any planning consultancy, after some experience I want to run my own consultancy. Then I suggest him to apply as GIS expert in any planning Consultancy. Then follow these guidelines to excel in your field. he agreed with me at this point and appreciated me for helping him. After that I shared the other tips and he agreed on all the tips. But at the end I suggest him to do the job for at least 1 year, may be he will have more interest in that. At the end, I learned that many of us know about all these career building guidelines but do not follow them. Most of us don’t even know about their passion.
