White Mountain National Forest trail features great fall colors and huge boulders

Wow! I enjoyed some great fall colors while hiking in the White Mountain National Forest near New Hampshire’s Waterville Valley on Sunday.

I was frequently surrounded by yellows and oranges that were perhaps past peak but brightened when the sun came out of the clouds.

The moderately strenuous hike on the Goodrich Rock Trail via Greeley Pond Trail featured some huge granite boulders, including a ladder to the top of Goodrich Rock. Lots of leaves were still on trees and on the trail, which was slippery in spots after recent rainfall.
