Great article! I think starting habit building with micro-habits is definitely the way to go.
When trying to build a habit of waking up early, I found what helped me the most was going to bed at the exact same time every day.
Initially, I didn’t think of what time I was going to wake up, I just concentrated on falling asleep on a schedule. Over time, my wake up time also started to adjust and became more consistent.
As a result, I was much more energetic and started the day feeling more accomplished. I also noticed that doing this every day gave me more clarity of thought.
Now I’m working full-time as an entrepreneur and even though I’m not at the wake-up-at-5-meditate-then-run-6-miles level yet, I’m slowly moving towards it by keeping up the micro-habit.
