Introduction:

Challenge Based Learning (CBL) is a powerful educational approach that encourages students to apply their knowledge and skills to real-world challenges. In the field of healthcare, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) has the potential to transform patient outcomes and improve the efficiency of healthcare delivery. In this article, we will explore how CBL can be applied to a project that focuses on using AI in the health field.

The CBL process is divided into three phases: engage, investigation, and action. In this article we will be focusing on the last phase:

Action Phase:

One example is our CBL project that focused on using AI in healthcare is the development of an AI-based diagnostic tool for skin diseases. Skin cancer for example is the most common type of skin diseases, and early detection is critical for successful treatment. AI has the potential to improve the accuracy and efficiency of skin cancer diagnosis by analyzing images of skin lesions and identifying potential cases of skin cancer.

Conclusion:

Through the CBL process, we will be able to develop not only technical skills related to AI in healthcare, but also critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills. By working collaboratively to address real-world challenges, we ,students, will gain a deeper understanding of the healthcare system and the role that AI can play in improving patient outcomes.
