What is different about being outside while using this app vs. being outside normally?

Or, if there is no difference, do you always feel incapable of being outside? Is the fear of hateful acts against you so great that you are trapped inside at all times?

I’m having trouble asking these questions in a way that doesn’t sound sarcastic, but I am genuinely curious.
