I need to be as strong as you….When
Fanny Ndengue

My cousin read my post “ If this were my last post” and her first statement made so much sense: It happens to the best of us.

I think ALL humans go through their lives with a semblance of sadness at some point. We all fail at one thing or the other. Some people take it much more seriously than others. And some can’t even help it- their serotonin levels could be messed up.

For me, looking at the long term gives me a sane perspective. In the grand scheme of things, if a woman rejects me, it’s not the end of the world. If I lose 10,000frs, I just have to work a little harder or sacrifice that book I wanted to buy.

When you take things and place them on a 20 year scale, it’s easy to stop allocating that much negative energy towards them.

It helps me to come out of my dark place. Ask yourself if what is bothering you at that moment would matter in 30 years. If yes, do something about it.

If not, get out there and make shit happen.

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
