DHH, the second part of this article about being a “real” programmer hit home for me.
It sounds a bit comical to say today, but Flash was my entry drug into programming. Still sad that it’s gone bye bye, because it was a great tool for designers like me to dip their toes into programming.
I think WordPress serves that purpose for many today. It’s a framework that allows for tinkering, which is a great way to get started in code.
I haven’t used Rails, but I’ve heard similar things about that.
