Watching The Waves — Keep Moving!

Our lives are like water, constantly moving or stagnant. You have a choice to be like the waves and ride them or like the small pool filling up with algae and not move. Your choice.

My life has changed many times from my career to my personal life. Twice I have been laid off due to budget cuts. The loss of the job highly impacted my personal life caused high levels of stress and anxiety and lead to me ruining a relationship with someone I loved. It was much later, I taught myself how to work through the changes and see them as a gift.

Now, as I’m writing this, I am working on my part time business, looking for a career in a field I have a passion for, coming up with ideas for other businesses and searching for the love of my life. I want more than one stream of income to provide a great life for myself and for that special one.

Life is about adaptation and change. Markets change, people change, environments and situations change. That’s what life is all about, change.

There are people who have a clear vision of what they want and will go after it with incredible passion, I’ve witnessed it. I have my vision and am “all in” on achieving my goals and dreams.

BE SELFISH! Follow your passion, whatever that may be! You only get one life, you need to live life for you and what is important to you!

The question which will help you define it is “Why do you do, what you do?” Answer that question! Is there something in your mind telling you to try something else? Do you silence the voice because you are scared? I believe it is your minds way of talking to you and providing true insight into who you are and what you want.

My personal passion is helping people. I feel a sense of fulfillment when I listen to people and their dreams and desires. How are they going to get there and what their plan?

As entrepreneurs, we listen to those who’ve succeeded and we’ve learned from those who failed. Failure is a learning process, it is not a negative concept. If you think about how school teaches us that an F is very, very, very bad. What if it just means that your strengths are somewhere else? What if you learn differently then others? Isn’t life about finding what you are good at and care about. You need be 100% invested into what you are good at and what you want out of life! When we are energetic and passionate, we want to go to work, we want to be part of something bigger than ourselves. We want to learn and grow along the way. This may not be possible at the moment because you are learning, growing, adapting but it is a working goal.

We have technology at our fingertips. The world of social media has created opportunities for us. Whether you are a business on Snapchat or Instagram, congrats on doing so. If you are still searching for your passion keep going, you will find it. Always keep your eyes open and never turn your back on the wave behind you!
