Advice from Y Combinator’s CEO Michael Seibel
The Whale app is amazing! Whale gives you access to influencers and industry thought leaders through a unique question and answer interface. During Whale’s first “Ask me Anything”, I asked Michael Seibel the question below:
Me :
“What question you wished more Founder’s ask, which has been a consistent data point for success?”
Micheal Seibel :
“The question I wished more founders would ask… We have this saying at YC, which is at any point a founder can come to us and ask us if they are failing and we will give them the answer. It’s totally okay to be failing, in everyone’s journey there will be moments where they feel like its game over and the information looks like its game over and you have to fight through them.
The second piece of advice I would give is that founders are often asking the wrong person. Many of the questions I get asked, the founders should ask their users.”
