Good thing that you mention PlayCanvas in the original post. I have used Unity for years and in some cases it can do alright lightwise, otherwise PlayCanvas is really amping up the game on the light front now, while (via Js) is closing in on Unity (PS: Unity uses a unityscript version of Js -> not Js. As such you should be able to do all sorts of regular Js-stuff layered upon a Playcanvas web-uploaded export)
